Connecting a chain (side view)

To connect a chain to a gear (side view):

  1. Drag on a chain and a gear from the Parts library.
  2. Select each part in turn and put it into side view. You can do this in the Properties pane or you can click the toolbar icon that appears beside the part when you hold the mouse over it.
  3. Make sure that the gear is parallel to the chain. If it is not, select it and give in a quarter-turn.
  4. Drag the gear so that it connects with the end of the chain.

To remove or disconnect the chain, select the chain and then delete it.
